Strategy #1 – The Ego Appeal
If you’re struggling to get an audience for your videos, one option is to get involved with people who already have an audience.
Do this by finding popular people (at least those with more of a following than you) who are also involved in your industry and have something to say about it. Next, ask them for a quote or even a full interview that you can use in a video.
Everyone likes to have their ego stroked and by asking them for a quote about your topic, that will show that you value them
When your videos are done, can ask them to share it with their audience! They may even embed your video on their blog.
Strategy #2 – The Value-Based Method
If you use BuzzSumo, they have a nifty feature where you can see who has shared a piece of content. This is huge. You approach these people (politely) to see if they want to share your video too! The key here is your video has to have good utility value that will make it shareable
Do your research before you create your video if you’re going to use this method.
Strategy #3 – The Quoralate Method
If you picked some of your video topics from Quora, don’t stop there. After you post your video on YouTube, you can post that link on Quora as an “answer” to that question.
You can also get engaged on those topics with other forums or groups and post your answer there too!
